(New Hartford, Utica, NY – Sept. 2015) Adults and girls are invited to enjoy a snack and a craft, discover more opportunities for girls, and learn what it takes to be a Girl Scout volunteer. Each girl must be accompanied by an adult.
The open houses are:
Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the New Hartford Public Library
Tuesday, Sept. 29 at the Parkway Recreation Center in Utica
Those attending can stop in anytime between 6 and 8 p.m. Interested in learning more about Girl Scouts but can’t attend either event? Contact the New Hartford Service Center at (315) 733-2391.
Girl Scouts is open to girls in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Girl Scouts have fun and enjoy new adventures and experiences. Underneath the fun girls are learning important financial literacy skills, healthy relationship skills, knowledge that will help them in science class as they build robots and conduct experiments, and leadership skills that give girls the confidence to assert themselves and ask questions.
Through Girl Scouts girls are empowered as they move through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, a set of activities and challenges designed to deliver specific benefits to girls at every age level.
