Peterboro(Peterboro, NY – Sept. 2015) The Peterboro United Methodist Church is sponsoring a Community Health and Wellness Fair, free and open to the public Saturday Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Peterboro.

Various health and wellness professionals will be on hand to share information on health, nutrition and fitness topics and resources, first aid, safety and much more. There will be health screenings, fitness classes/demonstrations and lectures, a Kids’ Zone packed with activities and a picnic area for lunch.

In an effort to show how easy it is to incorporate daily exercise, pedometers will be given out to the first 50 attendees who want to register their steps taken throughout the day.  There will be a self-guided walking tour of the hamlet that incorporates the Peterboro Museum, the United Methodist Church , the National Abolition Hall of Fame, the Gerrit Smith National Landmark sites, the Peterboro General Store and the various vendor booths along the way.

Gift bags and door prizes will be given out throughout the day.  All are welcome.
