Girl Scouts New Use this(New Hartford, NY – Sept. 2015) The Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways, Inc. has received a $500 grant from the Slocum-Dickson Foundation.

Thanks to the donation, a projector and TV/DVD player were purchased, which will be utilized to train and educate Girl Scouts and adult volunteers on a variety of health-related topics including: American Red Cross babysitting courses, life skills, and bullying. The purchase will also aid in the training of other youth prevention topics such as suicide prevention awareness and drug and alcohol prevention in youth. Adult volunteers will be able to take part in various adult trainings offered including First Aid, CPR, and new leader orientations.

The Girl Scouts of NYEPNN Pathways serves nearly 16,000 girls and 8,000 adults in 26 counties of New York and Pennsylvania. To find out more about the largest girl-led organization in the world, visit www.girlscouts.org/join.
