(Morrisville, NY – Dec. 2015) Five Morrisville State students have been awarded Caterpillar/Milton CAT Scholarships by the Morrisville College Foundation.

The $2,500 scholarships, awarded to students in the diesel technology/agricultural engineering programs, are based on academic achievement and financial need.

Scholarship recipients are:

  • Mike Gough, a diesel equipment technology freshman from Munnsville.
  • Jesse Buell, a diesel equipment technology freshman from Eaton.
  • Caleb Goodrich, a diesel equipment technology freshman from Owego.
  • Cord DePalma, a diesel equipment technology senior from Orange, Conn. DePalma is a member of the college’s Agricultural Engineering Club.
  • Jordan Shurtleff, a diesel equipment technology senior from Strafford, N.H. A member of the Ag Engineering Club, Shurtleff has received numerous scholarships, including The Clarence Sprague-John West NH Grange Foundation, NH Trustees of The Eastern States Expo, Northeast Loggers Association, Granite State Antique Auto Club, NH Snowmobile Association, Strafford Garden Club, Coe Brown Northwood Academy Alumni and George N. Cate Memorial. He has also received awards from FFA on the local, state and national level-FFA Chapter and State Star Farmer, FFA State Degree and FFA Martin L. Mitchel Personal Growth Award. He is the son of Eric and Lisa Shurtleff, of Province Road, Strafford, NH.
