State Police in Lysander arrested James D. Power, age 25, from Memphis, NY for Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd degree, a class “A” misdemeanor; Harassment 2nd degree, a violation and Driving While Intoxicated.
On Sunday, March 20, 2016, Troopers responded to a reported physical domestic at a residence on Old Route 31 in the Town of VanBuren. When Troopers arrived, the female complainant stated she was physically harassed and was physically prevented from leaving the residence for at least a half-hour by the suspect, identified as James Power. The complainant stated Power had just left the residence prior to patrols arrival.
Power was located a short time later by State Police on New Route 31 in the Town of Elbridge and subsequently arrested for the Unlawful Imprisonment, Harassment and DWI. His BAC was .10%. Power was arraigned in the Town of VanBuren Court and remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center in lieu of $1,500 cash/ $3,000 bond.
