The Morrisville State College University Police Department, in conjunction with the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, is holding a citizen preparedness seminar on April 27 from 6-8 p.m. in the Student Activities Center Little Theatre.
The free training, which is open to the public, will focus on preparing for severe weather and man-made disaster events.
The New York Citizen Preparedness Training Program teaches residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and to recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions.
Participants will be learn how to properly prepare for any disaster, including how to develop a family emergency plan and how to build a stockpile of emergency supplies.
