solarFind out how section 487 of the NYS Real Property Tax Law could affect you & much more at this event!

Property owners need to be aware of a 15 yr. exemption under section 487 of the NYS Real Property Tax Law and make sure that they are not responsible for taxes. It could become quite costly since a 1 megawatt solar array cost in the neighborhood of 2 million.

Mike Sabansky, Director of Delaware County Tax Services will address this & much more!

Chenango County Farm Bureau has scheduled a public informational meeting to be held at:

Oxford High School, 50 So. Washington St., Oxford, 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 26

RSVP to 607-334-6061

It has come to the attention of Chenango County Farm Bureau that Solar Leasing of land has become an eminent concern in New York. These lease agreements may affect your ag exemptions and taxes, among other concerns.

Bradd Vickers, President of Chenango says, “Farm Bureau supports Solar! Once again CCFB wants people to understand there is no such thing as a standard lease.  Property owners need to understand this so they can make an informed decision.  We will be doing a number of these meetings to make sure they get the information before they sign something they regret later.”

An Attorney, Environmental Scientist and Accountant will be present to provide information so you can make an informed decision before you lease your property.
