Martville man facing drug possession charges following traffic stop

On Friday, March 25, at approximately 1:55 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-690 in Syracuse for a traffic violation. Subsequent investigation at the scene revealed the operator, Jesse J. Longley, 27, of Martville, was in possession of Xanax and suboxone without a valid prescription, and heroin.

Longley was transported to SP North Syracuse, where he was charged with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.
Longley is scheduled to appear in the City of Syracuse Court on April 4, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.

Frankfort woman arrested following domestic dispute

On March 25, Noelle L. Palmer, of 3233 State Route 5, Frankfort, was arrested for first-degree criminal contempt as a result of a domestic dispute with a former boyfriend.

Palmer was arraigned in Ilion Village Court and remanded to Herkimer County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,500 bail bond.

Syracuse woman charged with DWI with a toddler in the vehicle

On March 27, at approximately 11:30 p.m., state police from North Syracuse stopped a vehicle on Wolf Street in Syracuse for a traffic violation. Investigation at the scene determined the operator, Davette L. Blount, 25, of Syracuse,

was intoxicated while traveling with a toddler in the vehicle.

The child was released to a family member at the scene, and Blount was transported to SP North Syracuse, where she was charged with felony driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, andendangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Blount is scheduled to appear in Syracuse City Court April 11 at 9:30 a.m.

New Berlin Man charged with driving while intoxicated

At approximately 1:30 a.m. March 27, a trooper from Sylvan Beach stopped a vehicle for erratic operation.

Investigation led to the subsequent arrest of Kyle R. Johnson, 27, for driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor.

Johnson is scheduled to appear in Vienna Town Court April 12 at 4:30 p.m.

 

Fulton woman arrested following domestic dispute

On Friday, March 25, at approximately 6:28 p.m., state police in Fulton were dispatched by the Oswego County 911 center to a domestic dispute at a home on State Route 48 in Granby, Oswego County.

After investigating the incident, Cheryl L. Pitre, 64, stands accused of threatening a family member with a steak knife.

Troopers transported Pitre to SP Fulton where she was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing, both class A misdemeanors.

Pitre was arraigned in Granby Town Court and released on her own recognizance; she is scheduled to return to court March 28 at 7 p.m.

Fulton man arrested for providing two minors with marijuana

On March 26, at approximately 7:59 p.m., state police from Fulton observed an occupied vehicle parked with the engine shut off, in the Oswego Town Office Building on County Route 7. The trooper stopped to conduct a welfare check on the occupants and ensure they did not need assistance.

Upon approaching the vehicle, the trooper smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming out of the vehicle; investigation at the scene determined the four occupants of the vehicle had been smoking marijuana in the town office parking lot.

Kyle J. Fountaine, 21, of Fulton, was charged with providing the marijuana to the other three occupants, including two minor victims under the age of 17.

Fountaine was taken into custody and transported to SP Fulton where he was charged with two counts each of second-degree criminal sale of marijuana, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

Fountaine was arraigned in Oswego Town Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail; he is scheduled to return to court March 28 at 4:30 p.m.

Fulton man charged with felony driving while intoxicated

On Sunday, March 27, at approximately 1:19 a.m., state police in Fulton stopped a vehicle on State Route 481 in Volney, Oswego County, for failing to dim its headlights and operating erratically.

Investigation at the scene determined the operator, Robert A. Wavle, 40, of Fulton, was intoxicated.

Wavle was transported to state police barracks in Fulton, where he was charged with felony driving while intoxicated due to two prior DWI convictions in the last ten years.  He was also issued tickets for first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and operating without insurance.

Wavle was arraigned in Volney Tow Court and released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to return at a later date.

Winfield man arrested following domestic dispute

On March 9, state police in Herkimer responded to Wall Street in Winfield for a report of a domestic dispute. During the dispute, Jacob R. Bogart, 22, damaged the tire of his girlfriend’s vehicle.

Bogart, of Home Street, Winfield, was subsequently charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor, and was arraigned in Litchfield Town Court; he is scheduled to appear again in Winfield Town Court March 16.

Margaretville woman arrested for DWI with a BAC more than twice the legal limit

On March 16, at approximately 12:18 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for a traffic violation.

The driver of the vehicle, Emily J. Friedman, 25, of Margaretville, was found to be intoxicated.  She was transported and processed at SP Montgomery, where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.22 percent.

Friedman was subsequently charged with misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated. She was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Newburgh Town Court March 28 at 1 p.m.
