On March 29, 2016, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) in Watertown arrested, Dallas H. Wade, age 21, of Calcium, NY, for Assault in the 3rd Degree and Endangering the welfare of a child, both class “A” misdemeanors.

The investigation revealed that on March 29, 2016, State Police were notified by Jefferson County Child Protective Service regarding abuse to 3 months old victim. As result of the investigation, Wade was charged with Assault 3rd and Endangering the welfare of a child.

Wade was arraigned in the Town of Pamelia Court, issued an Order of Protection and released into the custody of Fort Drum Military Police, pending additional court actions.

On March 29, 2016 at 11PM, State Police in Morrisville were assisting the Cazenovia Village Police Department with a dispute investigation at Carriage Circle.  While standing outside the apartments a vehicle drove up to the scene. The male operator exited the vehicle and approached the Troopers to inquire about an individual the Troopers were interviewing regarding the dispute. Troopers detected a strong odor of alcohol on the driver’s breath.

Brian B. Button, age 56, from Chittenango, NY was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was processed at SP Morrisville where a breath test of .20% BAC was obtained. He was charged with Aggravated DWI and released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Village of Cazenovia Court on a later date.

At approximately 5:35PM on March 29, 2016, State Police in Lee were dispatched to Taberg Florence Road in the Town of Annsville for a property damage accident.

The investigation revealed that Wayne F. Rouse. Jr., age 30, of Annsville, NY was driving with his three children ages 4, 7 and 9 in the vehicle. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (with a Prior Conviction, a class “E” felony),  Driving with a BAC over .08% (his BAC .11%), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, an E Felony,  Aggravated DWI with a Child “Leandra’s Law” (3 counts), an E Felony,  Endangering the Welfare of a Child (3 Counts), an A Misdemeanor and numerous traffic citations.

Rouse was arraigned in the Town of Annsville and was held on $500 bail.

Troopers seize more than two pound of marijuana from Bridgeport, Conn., man

On March 29, 2016, at approximately 11:57 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 for multiple traffic violations. The driver of the vehicle, Neville R. Boreland, 32, of Bridgeport, CT, was found to be in possession of approximately 2.2 pounds of marijuana.  He was transported and processed at SP Albany where he was subsequently charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 2nd Degree; a Class D Felony
  • Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree; a Misdemeanor
  • Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations
Boreland was arraigned before the Town of Canaan Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.

On March 29, 2016, at approximately 2:35 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for multiple traffic violations.  The driver of the vehicle, Derrick J. Priest, 30, of Saint Pauls, NC, was found to be in possession of a Stun Gun and marijuana.  His passenger, Marco L. Stocks, 41, of Fayetteville, NC, was found to be in possession of a loaded .22 caliber hand gun.  Both men were taken into custody and transported to SP Albany.

Priest was subsequently charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree; a Class A Misdemeanor
  • Unlawful Possession of Marijuana; a Violation
  • Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations

Priest was arraigned before the Town of Bethlehem Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $3000 cash bail or bond.

Stocks was subsequently charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree; a Class C Felony

Stocks was arraigned before the Town of Bethlehem Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail without bail.

Saranac Lake man arrested for felony DWI

On March 27, 2016, at approximately 3:33 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 for a traffic violation.  The driver of the vehicle, Christopher J. Fust, 34, of Saranac Lake, NY, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana. He was

transported and processed at SP Albany where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.14%.  Fust has a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years and as a result was subsequently charged with:

  • Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Class E Felony
  • Unlawful Possession of Marijuana; a Violation
He was arraigned before the Town of Guilderland Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $2500 cash bail or bond.
Leandra’s Law Arrest in the Town of Hamilton

On March 29, 2016 at 4:18PM, State Police in Morrisville arrested Christina M. Taiwo, age 45, from  2289 Alexis Ave, Hamilton, NY for DWI & Leandra’s Law.

Troopers were dispatched to that address by Madison Co 911 for a domestic dispute investigation. During the investigation Taiwo was observed operating a 2014 Toyota Camry in an intoxicated condition with her 10 yoa child as a passenger.   She was arrested and processed at SP Morrisville where a breath test of .10% BAC was obtained. She was charged with DWI, Felony Aggravated DWI w/ a child in the Vehicle and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Taiwo was arraigned in the Town of Hamilton Court and remanded to the Madison Co Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.  She is scheduled to appear back in the Town of Hamilton Court on April 4, 2016 at 1pm.

On March 25, 2016 at approximately 1:21 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle in the Town of Floyd for erratic operation. Investigation at the scene revealed Bobby M. Collins, age 35, of Rome, was intoxicated. Collins was also found to be in possession of marijuana. He was taken into custody and transported to SP Remsen where he was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, both unclassified misdemeanors, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation. He was also ticketed for various Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

Collins was released to a third party and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Floyd Court on April 4, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.
