On March 31, 2016, State Police in Oneida arrested Joseph M. Weyant, 34, of Canastota, for first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a class B felony and second-degree rape, a class D felony. He is accused of having sexual intercourse with a child less than 15 for a period of years in duration.
Weyant was arraigned in Lincoln Town Court and was remanded to the Madison County Jail on $75,000 cash bail or $90,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to Lincoln Town Court April 7.
