The Children’s Home of Jefferson County is introducing a Post-Adoption Parent Network group for parents with adopted children. The group will meet for the first time on Thursday, April 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. in CHJC’s Cottage 4 Foster Care Conference Room, 1704 State Street, Watertown. Subsequent meetings will be held on the third Thursday of every month. All adoptive parents are encouraged and welcome to attend.
The group will offer parents with adopted children, the opportunity to foster relationships with other adoptive parents, share experiences and expertise, discuss disciplinary tactics, learn to better address challenging behavior, and become familiar with available community resources.
