Ever wonder how to make wishes come true? On Tuesday, May 3, there will be an informational session held at the Sullivan Free Library in Chittenango.

The event is being hosted by Make-A-Wish Central New York and the Chittenango Leadership Group. This group of students has been educating their classmates about Make-A-Wish, and is now expanding their audience to include the entire community. They’ll discuss opportunities to support local children facing life-threatening medical conditions as well as upcoming events in the area. All are welcome to come.

To make the event even more special, Wish Kid Isabelle, 9, of Oneida, will be in attendance along with pieces of her original artwork that the library will have on display through May. Jeff Taylor, owner of The Wild Animal Park, will also be on hand with some of his furry friends. Refreshments will be provided, including Dunkin’ Donuts blue-frosted star donuts.

The session will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. in the library, located at 101 Falls Blvd. For directions and information about the library, visit www.sullivanfreelibrary.org. The Madison County Youth Bureau facilitates the Youth Leadership program for high school students in Chittenango. The program helps students improve their personal skills and engages them in service learning activities.
