As in the past, we will focus our efforts on Saturday, April 23, and Sunday, April 24. Backup dates of Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1, are planned.

Over the weekend, a number of groups and individuals will out on the street across the City of Utica starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.

  • The Cornhill Neighborhood Association will be conducting their annual Cleanup starting at Kemble Park.
  • The Criminal Justice Club at MVCC C will be in Brewery District
  • The Elfun Society will be in Bagg’s Square Memorial Park
  • Berge Construction is concentrating on Erie St.
  • Bill True will be on South Street
  • Brian Roemer will be in North Utica on Wurz Ave and around Price Chopper

Other groups will be out next week

  • Working solutions will be on Main Street Friday, April 29
  • Mark Williamson would like to invite you to the ROTC Tree Planting on Culver Ave. The event will be held April 30. .  The start time is promptly at 9 a.m. and will continue until all trees are planted; 30 trees will be planted on Culver Avenue and 41 additional will be planted at the Eagle.

These are just a few of the people who are actively involved in making a difference in the community.

If you can’t participate in a cleanup on any of these dates the City of Utica will work with you on another date.

We need to coordinate all cleanups taking place in Utica so we can make sure everything you collect is picked up by DPW.

Keep America Beautiful’ s Great American Cleanup is the country’s largest community improvement program that kicks off each spring and engages more than 4 million volunteers.
