Fulton Woman charged with Driving While Intoxicated

On April 21 at approximately 10:41 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on Silk Road in the Town of Volney, Oswego County, for a traffic violation. Investigation at the scene revealed the operator, Dawn M. Lewis, 51, of Fulton, was intoxicated. Lewis was taken into custody and transported to SP Fulton where she was charged with driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Volney Court April 25 at 6 p.m.

Pennellville Woman arrested after domestic dispute

On April 19, at approximately 11:28 a.m., state police responded to a residence on County Route 10 in the Town of Schroeppel, Oswego County, for a physical domestic dispute in progress. Investigation at the scene determined June M. Atkins, 49, had damaged the vehicle of a family member during the course of an argument. Atkins stands accused of using a broomstick to break windows in the vehicle and dent it. She was taken into custody and transported to SP Fulton where she was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony.

Atkins was arraigned in the Town of Granby Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Schroeppel Court April 20 at 5:30 p.m.

Central Square Man facing drug possession charges after traffic stop

On April 19 at approximately 12:09 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle on 7th North Street in the Town of Salina for a traffic violation. The operator, Randy J. Derochie, 27, of Central Square, was found to be operating without a license, and with a suspended registration. Further investigation revealed he was also in possession of crack cocaine, marijuana, and various drug paraphernalia.

Derochie was taken into custody and transported to SP North Syracuse where he was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor; unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation; and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

Derochie is scheduled to appear in Town of Salina Court April 28 at 4 p.m.

Constantia man charged with DWI

On April 13 at approximately 5:18 p.m., state police were dispatched to a one-car motor vehicle accident on County Route 54 near State Route 264 in the Town of Schroeppel, Oswego County. Investigation at the scene determined the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, Joseph A. Menard, 58, of Constantia, was intoxicated. He was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Menard was transported to Oswego Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries and released.

Menard was released to a third party with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Schroeppel Court June 1 at 5:30 p.m.

Williamstown man arrested for DWAI-Drugs, reckless driving

On Sunday April 17, Billy Redden, 19, of Williamstown, was arrested by state police, charged with driving while ability impaired (drugs), unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, marijuana possession and reckless driving in the Town of Amboy.

The vehicle Redden was operating collided with a tree as he attempted to evade a state trooper on Mellon Road. Redden was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and treated for injuries sustained in the collision. Once released from the hospital, Redden was processed and arraigned in Amboy Town Court. A return court date was set for May 10.

Schenectady man arrested for Felony DWI

On April 17 at approximately 8:08 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-90 at Exit 25 for multiple traffic violations. The driver of the vehicle, Gerson J. Higinio, 37, of Schenectady, was found to be intoxicated. He was transported and processed at SP Albany where he refused to submit to a breath test to determine the alcohol content in his system. According to police, Higinio has multiple prior DWI convictions within the last 10 years and as a result was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated, a class D felony; first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation; a class E felony; and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

He was arraigned before the Town of Guilderland Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.

 

Pulaski man arrested following traffic stop in Lysander

On April 18 at approximately 1:06 p.m., state police stopped a speeding vehicle on State Route 48 in the Town of Lysander. The operator, Jamison M. Bartlett, II, 38, of Pulaski, was wanted on an active warrant by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office. Investigation at the scene also revealed Bartlett was in possession of Suboxone without a valid prescription and marijuana.

Bartlett was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor; unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation; and various vehicle and traffic law violations.

Bartlett was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Lysander Court April 26 at 7 p.m. He was released into the custody of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office to answer his charges in Oswego County.

Moravia man arrested for Driving While Intoxicated following crash

On April 15 at approximately 8:40 p.m., state police were flagged down by passing motorists to report a motor vehicle accident on Route 174 in the Town of Marcellus. Troopers responded to the scene and located a pickup truck that had crashed into four parked vehicles in front of a gathering on Route 174, and had come to rest against the front porch of the residence. Investigation at the scene revealed that the operator, Michael D. Keehfus, 51, of Moravia, was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

Keehfus was arraigned in the Town of Marcellus Court and remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court April 20 at 9 a.m.
