a9c0a225-37a2-46cc-88cf-523a7093a1ccEqual parts aviator, educator, and comedian of the skies Air Show spectators around the world have been treated to the unique variety of acts performed by veteran pilot and consummate entertainer Kent Pietsch and his Jelly Belly airplanes. His shows, which include specialty acts designed to thrill audiences of all ages, showcase aerobatic stunts featuring airplanes that lose parts, engines that quit in mid-flight, and landings onto runways mounted on moving vehicles. Kent has enjoyed presenting the fun of flight to air show audiences for 40 years.

As a premier air show performer Kent strives to show the freedom of flight. While his acts push the limits of what he and his airplane can do, Kent adheres to strict safety standards making him a true professional in the air show field. Kent has been honored with the 2005 Bill Barber Award for Showmanship, and the 2007 Art Scholl Memorial Award for Showmanship. He is also proud to have been named an Honorary Royal Canadian Snowbird. In addition, the show features the US Navy Blue Angels, US Air Force F-16 Heritage Flight, US Army Golden Knights, and the Geico Skytypers.  Included in the flying schedule are also renowned civilian air show performers, Air Show Hall of Famer Gene Soucy with wing walker Teresa Stokes, Scott Yoak will put his P-51D Quick Silver through its paces, the B-25 “Panchito”, and you’ll see one of the aircraft race against an electric motorcycle.

There is also a great line-up of statics to look at including the A-37 Dragonfly, the C-17 Globemaster, T-6A Texan, MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopter, Civil Air Patrol Cessna 182, LC-130 Hercules (on skis), L-29, The T-45 Goshawk, and the KC-10 Extender.

Free onsite parking will be provided. Advance Sale discount tickets can be purchased online at http://www.syracuseairshow.com/tickets/ and at local Wegmans locations until 3 p.m., Sunday, June 12. Gate tickets will be available upon arrival at the air show.

Adult (16+): Advance Sale Discount Tickets – $15; Gate tickets – $20.
Children (5-15): Advance Sale Discount Tickets – $10; Gate tickets – $15.
Children 4 and under are free.
