Come visit Oneida Community Mansion House on Sunday, June 12, for our annual Strawberry Jam festival and fundraiser, hosted by Friends of the Mansion House.
Activities begin at 9 a.m. with a flea market in the Vineyard across from the Mansion House. From Noon until 4 p.m., enjoy grilled hamburgers, hotdogs and salt potatoes in the Mansion House Quadrangle, and live music throughout the afternoon on the South Lawn.
Make sure you indulge in the delicious strawberry shortcake – prepared according to the traditional Oneida Community recipe – and cool beverages throughout the afternoon! Donations of strawberry desserts for sale at the dessert table are welcome; deliver by noon to the dessert tent.
Mansion House tours are only $2 from noon until 4 p.m. Exhibits on display include “Mothers and Children of the Oneida Community,” “Oneida Silverware Ads by Coles Phillips, 1911-1924”, “The Braidings of Jessie Catherine Kinsley” and “Oneida Game Traps”, as well as period rooms, the Big Hall, Upper Sitting Room, and Nursery Kitchen.
