State Police in Elbridge are investigating a fatal one-car crash on Old Seneca Turnpike in the Town of Skaneateles.
The investigation revealed at 5:49 a.m., a 2005 Dodge Caravan, operated by Anthony J. Thomas, 41, from Auburn, was traveling east on Old Seneca Turnpike when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle then exited the north shoulder of the roadway, striking a tree, and overturning several times.
Thomas was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger, Laura J. Anderson, 46, from Auburn, was transported by ambulance with minor injuries. The investigation is continuing.
