At approximately 10:33 p.m. June 4, a Sylvan Beach-based Trooper performed a traffic stop of an erratic vehicle on Vienna Road. An investigation revealed that the operator, Scott A. Hence, 29, of Rome, was operating with a suspended driver’s license.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the front passenger, Desiree M. Mosley, 22, of Rome was in possession of methamphetamine; and the rear passenger, Crystal R. Engle, 29, of Rome, was in possession of marijuana and hydrocodone pills without a valid prescription.
Hence was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor and a vehicle and traffic law violation.
Mosley and Engle were both charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor. Engle was additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Both were processed and released on appearance tickets.
All parties are scheduled to appear in Sylvan Beach Village Court June 23 at 4 p.m.
