Building Futures Foundation for The Arc of Madison Cortland is pleased to present the first annual Robert Urtz III, Lecture Series on Planned Giving, “You, You’re Family, and Your Charity”  featuring Grace Ghezzi and Jennifer Basic, Esq.

The lecture series named in memoriam for Robert Urtz, III who served ten years on the Building Futures Foundation Board of Directors and as President from 2012 until his death in 2015 due to cancer.  Rob Urtz was committed to helping others as demonstrated by his volunteer work in the community.  His expertise was in financial and futures planning while also helping others.

“Rob cared deeply about his community and giving back” said Brett Zielasko, President Building Futures Foundation “He was especially committed to helping people with disabilities.  Naming the lecture series after Rob is just one small way that we can honor such a great man.”

Speaking on June 23 will be Grace Ghezzi, Vice President Financial Planning Services for OneGroup.  Grace is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, and a Certified Fraud Examiner.  Grace often appears on WSTM’s Financial 411.  She has given hundreds of presentations to groups, including more than thirty‐five State CPA Societies, the International Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Financial Planning Association, the Canadian Association for Financial Planning, the New York State Bar Association, and more.

Jennifer Basic, is an attorney with J. Basic & Associates, PLLC in Cazenovia.  Jennifer specializes in Trust and Estate Planning, Trust & Estate Administration, Guardianship, Elder Law, Medicaid, Social Security, Real Estate, Business law.  Since 2000, Jennifer has served on the Building Futures Foundation Board of Directors

The Robert Urtz, III Lecture Series on Planned Giving will be will be held on Thursday, June 23, at The Lincklaen House in Cazenovia, beginning at noon.  A complimentary lunch will be provided.  Due to limited seating reservations are required a week in advance, please contact Christine Sears, Director of Development for The Arc of Madison Cortland and Building Futures Foundation at 315-363-3389 x 1005.
