Come visit Oneida Community Mansion House Sunday, June 12, for our annual Strawberry Jam festival and fundraiser, hosted by Friends of the Mansion House.
Activities begin at 9 a.m. with a flea market in the Vineyard across from the Mansion House. From noon until 4 p.m., enjoy grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and salt potatoes in the Mansion House Quadrangle with live music on the South Lawn. Make sure you indulge in the delicious strawberry shortcake – prepared according to the traditional Oneida Community recipe. Donations of strawberry desserts for sale at the dessert table are welcome – please deliver by noon.
Mansion House tours are only $2 from noon until 4 p.m. Exhibits on display include “Mothers and Children of the Oneida Community,” “Oneida Silverware Ads by Coles Phillips, 1911-1924”, “The Braidings of Jessie Catherine Kinsley,” and “Oneida Game Traps,” as well as period rooms, the Big Hall, Upper Sitting Room and Nursery Kitchen.
