On June 20, at approximately 7:25 p.m., State Police stopped a tractor-trailer on I-90 for multiple traffic violations after being reported as an erratic operator. The driver of the vehicle, Gordon R. Monreal, 51, of Flushing, Mich., was found to be intoxicated. He was transported and processed at SP Buffalo, where his blood-alcohol content was determined to be 0.33 percent. He was subsequently charged with:- Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a misdemeanor

Monreal was arraigned before the Town of Amherst Court and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $5,000 cash bail to reappear June 23 at 1:30 p.m.
Due to his high BAC, Monreal was evaluated at the Erie County Medical Center prior to his arraignment.
