For Veterans, currently serving members of the Armed Forces, and families of Veterans and Service members, a special chance to learn what you earned is coming up soon in Utica.

On June 28, federal, state, and local leaders will offer an information session and open forum at Utica’s Central New York Veterans Outreach Center (726 Washington Street) about benefits and services available to Veterans and their family members, allowing attendees to receive information directly from agencies and organizations responsible for helping Veterans and their families receive these benefits.

Organized by the New York State Division of Veterans’ Affairs and the New York State Office for Children and Family Services, the event will include information about advocacy for Veterans, Service members, and their family members seeking a wide range of federal, state, and local Veterans’ benefits, advice about ways to guard against financial abuse and exploitation, access to healthcare for Veterans and their families, and assistance services for military families in transition after a military member leaves home or after a military member returns home.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 2 p.m. Attendees will have ample time to ask questions of the speakers during and after the program.
