At 3:47pm, the State Police and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department responded to 9822 State Route 365 in Holland Patent, New York for a suspicious condition. Upon their arrival, a deceased adult male was discovered in the rear yard of the residence.
The subject has been tentatively identified as Steven P. Parker, age 52 of that residence. As a result of a bulletin that was dispatched to local law enforcement, a vehicle believed to be related to the crime was stopped by West Carthage Police Officer David Pustizzi. The decedent’s son, Austin Parker, age 17 was taken into custody and subsequently charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree relative to the event which is believed to have occurred approximately a month ago.
