academicsNearly 200 graduates from the class of 2016 have earned a New York State Career and Technical Education endorsement on their high school diplomas due to their outstanding performance in CTE programs at Madison-Oneida BOCES. These 198 students represent nine component school districts in Madison and Oneida counties.

Earning a CTE endorsement is considered a mark of distinction and indicates not only academic excellence but also a student’s demonstrated readiness for post-secondary success in the workforce, college or the military. In order to earn the endorsement, students complete written and performance-based exams in their CTE program of study. These exams are taken in addition to all courses, exams and requirements for a traditional New York State Regents diploma, including completing 22 graduation credits and passing five Regents exams.
