Oneida-based state police charged a Lincoln man with aggravated DWI following a traffic stop in Madison County Saturday night.
At approximately 11:10 p.m. on July 9, Trooper Nathan D. Pearson was patrolling southbound on Oxbow Road in Lincoln when he observed a 1983 Mercedes Benz swerving across the centerline of the roadway on several occasions. A traffic stop was conducted and the operator of the Mercedes, Andrew J. Hack, 35, of Old County Road, Lincoln, was interviewed. A strong odor of alcoholic beverage was observed on Hack’s breath and field sobriety tests indicated that he was intoxicated.
Hack was taken into custody for DWI and transported to the Oneida state police barracks for processing. A breath test determined Hack’s blood alcohol content to be .22%. Hack was issued traffic tickets for DWI, Aggravated DWI with a BAC of .18% or greater and other traffic offenses. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lincoln Court on August 1, 2016.
