Connelly, MantleOn July 17 at approximately 4:14 p.m., State Police observed a male operating a Honda minibike type motorcycle on Selden Drive in the Town of Lee. The motorbike did not have a license plate, lights, or mirrors. The male then drove into the wood line and laid down on the ground in an attempt to hide from law enforcement. Troopers located the male laying in the wood line and subsequently identified him as Mantle M. Connelly, 56, of Lee Center. A strong odor of a consumed alcoholic beverage was observed emanating from the breath of Connelly and after further investigation he was taken into custody for DWI.

Connelly was processed at SP Lee where he provided a breath sample of .25 percent BAC and charged with aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, unregistered motorcycle, operating without insurance and several other vehicle and traffic violations. Connelly was arraigned in the Town of Lee Court and remanded to Oneida County Jail in lieu of $200 cash or $2,000 bond and is scheduled to re-appear in court July 20 at 4:30 p.m.
