A “Locked in the Library After-Hours Party,” gift certificates, bubbles, puzzles, games and books galore, and much more– – we’re so excited to share these big prizes with our Summer Reading Program participants! If your children or teens signed up to participate in our Summer Reading Program this year, please remind them to bring their completed reading record(s) to the library circulation desk by August 13 th to pick up their goodie bag and collect the tickets they have earned to enter to win big ticket prizes. Winners of these Big Prize Drawings will be notified the following week.
The Friends of the Library are moving right along with preparations for the annual book sale! Beginning August 1 st , we will gladly accept donations for both adult and children’s books that are gently used and in good condition, as well as CDs and DVDs. Please do not leave books anywhere outside the Library building. Small donations may be brought to the circulation desk, and our staff will be happy to direct where to leave larger boxes or greater quantities.
Our fabulous Friends of the Library group also have a booth at the Farmer’s Market on the Village Green! They’ll be there every other week throughout the market season on the southern end of the green. This is a great opportunity to preview book sale items, purchase books, find out more about the Friends of the Library, or just to stop by and thank them for their continued support and all the many ways they volunteer to help make our Library such a wonderful and welcoming place. Our Friends will also be offering Hamilton Public Library canvas tote bags on sale for $5 each—a great re-usable market bag, book bag, or gift for others!
