The Morrisville State College women’s volleyball team released the 2016 season schedule Monday, and are set to kick off competition Thursday, September 1.
Morrisville State will open on the road at Castleton on the first, before returning home to host a two-day, multi-team event across Sept. 3rd and 4th. The Mustangs will be in action twice each day, including meeting MCLA and Maritime on the 3rd, before hosting Eastern Connecticut State and Norwich University on the 4th.
The Mustangs will host one of two single matches on Wednesday, Sept. 7, taking on the Hamilton College Continentals before heading to Penn State Behrend for the Northwestern Pennsylvania Classic on Friday, Sept. 9th and Saturday, Sept. 10th.
Play up to this point will prepare them for the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opener on Saturday, Sept. 17th at SUNY Cobleskill as the Mustangs hit the court against Southern conference opponents Gallaudet University and Wilson. They face host SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday, Sept. 18th.
The following weekend, Morrisville State will be in action for a second NEAC pool play date, traveling to Penn State Abington where they will face Bryn Athyn and College of St. Elizabeth on the 24th, wrapping up the weekend with the host Nittany Lions on the 25th.
They open October on the road for the third of four NEAC weekends, traveling to Penn State Berks to square off against Lancaster Bible College and Penn College on Saturday, Oct. 1st, taking on Berks on the 2nd.
Morrisville State will travel to Alfred University for non-conference tournament play on Oct. 14th and 15th, facing the Saxons and Maine-Fort Kent on the 14th, before matching up with Alfred State and Hilbert on the 15th.
Following a home contest against SUNY Delhi on the 20th; the Mustangs head down the road to SUNY Polytechnic for the final weekend of NEAC regular season play on the 22nd and 23rd.
They face Keuka College and Cazenovia College on Saturday, and finish conference play with Wells College on Sunday.
They finish the regular season on the road at Hartwick on the 26th.
