State Police in Lee are investigating a two vehicle crash with injuries that occurred on Rome-Westernville Rd in the City of Rome.
At approximately 2:22 p.m. Aug. 4, 2016, a Toyota pickup truck and a Mini Cooper collided on Rome-Westernville Road just north of Elmer Hill Road in the city of Rome. The driver of the pickup truck, Rick D. Reed, 60, of Rome, was airlifted via helicopter to SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse with serious injuries and is listed in critical condition.
The driver of the Mini Cooper was not injured. The investigation is still ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
