Morrisville State releases 2016 field hockey schedule

The Morrisville State College field hockey program released its 2016 schedule, with eight contests slated as home events on the Mustangs Drake Field at the college’s stadium.

Morrisville State will begin their season campaign Thursday, September 1 on the road at William Smith College, before taking on Castleton on the road on the 3^rd.

The Mustangs open the home schedule Wednesday, Sept. 7^th against non-conference opponent St. Lawrence University before hitting the road for three straight, including a State University of New York Athletic Conference opener against the New Paltz Hawks.

Morrisville State takes on New England College on the 11^th, travels to Hartwick on the 13^th before meeting the Hawks on the 16^th.

They return home for three consecutive games within a four day span: Union College on the 20^th, followed by national powerhouse Cortland on the 23^rd and Wells College on the 24^th.

The Mustangs head north to meet the Oswego State Lakers on the 28^th to wrap up September’s action.

On October 1^st Morrisville State heads to the Finger Lakes to face Keuka College, before returning home for a three game slate that includes two conference games. On Oct. 4^th, they host Houghton College before resuming SUNYAC play in a home tilt with Geneseo on the 7^th. On Oct. 12^th Oneonta rolls into town.

Morrisville State will wrap up conference play on the road at Brockport on the 21^st before traveling to Wilson on the 23^rd.

They conclude their season at home on the 26^th, hosting Nazareth College.
