The Utica Police Department announced Aug. 11 that a Civil Service exam will be held Nov. 19 for the position of police officer. The last date to file is Oct. 5.
The Utica Police Department appoints sworn members from a list of successful candidates determined by a competitive civil service exam. In addition to passing the civil service entrance test, candidates must complete an agility test, medical exam, background check and interview process.
