The Mohican Model A Ford Club will hold its 56 th consecutive Antique Automobile Show and Flea Market at the Wampsville Firemen’s Field on Sunday, September 11 th , 2016. The Field is located on the corners of Court and Elm Sts. The Show will run from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. There is no admission charge but visitors are encouraged to purchase raffle tickets for several hundred dollars in prizes. The Wampsville Firemen will have food items on sale. Premium parking is available for $5 for the day. Handicap parking and restroom facilities are provided.
About 400 pre-registered cars covering the years 1900 to 1988 are expected to vie for trophies in 26 Classes. Another 400 Sunday drive-in unjudged cars will be exhibited. Over 150 Flea Market vendors will offer eclectic items, both automotive and general antiques, collectibles, etc. The show goes on, rain or shine.
Another feature of the show is the “Car Corral” where owners can display antique cars for sale. Registration starts at 7:00 am. The Mohican Club with its 110 member families will celebrate its 56th anniversary in 2016. The Club includes both Model A Ford owners and owners of a variety of other marques. Members are located all over Central New York and meet monthly throughout the year, driving antique autos as weather permits. The Club supports various CNY charities, visits area nursing homes, and participates in civic events such as parades, especially to honor veterans. In addition, it supports the various National Ford Car Associations.
