The Cazenovia Public Library invites adults of all ages to switch off, relax, and color! Join us on Thursday, September 15th, at 6:30 pm in the Community Room for the September installment of our popular Adult Coloring program. Pick up a coloring book, grab some cookies, and chat with friends for an evening of stress relief and enjoyment.
According to Nancy Monson of USA TODAY Best Years Magazine, a growing volume of research shows that creative activities can help to alleviate stress caused by the pressures of everyday life. Recent studies suggest that structured, rhythmic endeavors, such as coloring, are particularly beneficial as they ease you into a meditative state, allowing you to expel negative thoughts and worries from your mind.
We have coloring book designs that appeal to every interest — from whimsical doodles to circular mandalas, nature scenes, and fantasy worlds. Feel free to color outside the lines or leave a picture unfinished; there’s no judgment — just you treating yourself to a new healthy habit. Just ten to fifteen minutes of coloring can provide a sense of satisfaction that has a positive ripple effect throughout the day.
Cookies and supplies will be provided.
All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information on this and other Library events, call 655-9322 or visitwww.cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
