The American Red Cross is hosting a Military Family Salute and Support Brunch on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. at the State University of New York at Oswego at the Marano Campus Center Food Court.

The Military Family Salute and Support Brunch is for military families, veterans and reservists. In addition to a complimentary brunch, attendees will have an opportunity to meet other local military families, learn about additional Red Cross services, as well as what services are available from other organizations.

The guest speaker is Father Moritz Fuchs, a WW II Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient. Following the War, Fr. Moritz was the bodyguard for Chief Prosecutor Robert H. Jackson at the Nuremberg Trials.

Additionally, the brunch will include special presentations by Kerry Barnes, New York State Coordinator of Quilts of Valor, and Jeff Wright, Executive Director of Move Along.
