carAAA Northeast will be offering a free fall maintenance inspection for AAA members and motorists.

The AAA Car Care Clinic will be held ( rain or shine ) on Saturday, October 1stfrom 9am to 1pm in the parking lot of the AAA building at 430 Court St. in Utica. No appointment necessary!

AAA Battery Technicians and technicians from area AAA Approved Auto Repair Shops will be on hand to provide a multipoint “maintenance inspection” which includes an electrical system and battery test.

“This year’s winter season is just around the corner and many vehicles are in need of preventive maintenance before the weather turns colder,” says AAA Northeast Regional General Manager, Ed Welsh.

“Keep in mind that one of the most common causes of cold-weather breakdowns is a weak or dead battery. Good indicators that your battery is weak and may need replacement, include a starter motor that cranks the engine slowly when the ignition key is turned, or headlights that dim noticeably when the engine speed drops to an idle”, Welsh added.

Should you find that your vehicle is not in optimum working condition; AAA strongly recommends that you immediately seek assistance from one of the more than 7,800 AAA Approved Auto Repair facilities in North America.  For a list of local AAA approved shops, visit www.aaa.com.

In addition to the Free Maintenance Inspection, AAA will have several automotive experts on hand to answer questions and talk about all things automotive.

AAA Northeast is a not-for-profit auto club with 62 offices in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island providing more than 6 million local AAA members with travel, insurance, finance, and auto-related services.
