myers-andreaState Police in Fulton arrested Andrea M. Myers, 28, of 483 County Route 29 in Scriba, for DWI-Drugs and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree (both misdemeanors) and Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent/Physically disabled person 1st degree, a class “E” felony.

On Friday, October 7, 2016, at approximately 5:40 a.m., Troopers responded to the area of County Route 29 and O’Connor Road in the Town of Scriba for a reported one vehicle property damage accident.

When Troopers arrived, they located a 2016 Kia in a ditch without a driver on scene. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Myers, was located by Troopers walking down County Route 29 near County Route 51a, where she advised Troopers that she was in an accident and was walking home.

During the course of the investigation, Troopers learned Myers was returning from Walmart when she drove off the shoulder of the roadway, struck a stop sign and came to rest in a ditch. She also admitted to leaving her 6-year-old child alone at her residence. Troopers immediately drove to the residence where they located the child inside a bedroom alone.

Myers was taken into custody and charged with operating a vehicle while impaired by prescription medication, driving with a suspended license and leaving her physically disabled 6-year-old child without supervision for several hours. She was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court and released.

Myers is scheduled to appear in Town of Scriba court Oct. 13, 2016, at 7 p.m.

The Oswego County Child Protective Services is assisting in the investigation.
