eurydicesquare-241x241We are hosting open auditions for our Valentine’s Day show “Eurydice” by Sarah Ruhl. Director Lizz Allers is looking to fill most roles. No preparation is necessary as auditioners will be asked to read from the script. Auditions will be held October 23, 24, and 25 at 7 pm.
“Eurydice” runs for 6 performances: Feb. 10-18, 2017.

All roles are open, except for the role of Father. Character descriptions are below:
  • Eurydice: A young woman (late teens/early 20s), curious about the world but inexperienced in it. Full of life and energy (even in the underworld)
  • Orpheus: A young man (late teens/early 20s), charming and quiet, The greatest musician in the world. (Actors who can sing and/or play an instrument, especially guitar, encouraged.)
  • Chorus of Stones: A chorus made up of residents of the land of the dead. Open to any gender/age.
  • A Nasty Interesting Man / The Lord of the Underworld: A dangerous, sensual, seductive man. Effortlessly in control of any situation. Part of his allure is in his complexity/mystery, but he is not necessarily overtly scary.
