Alfred Hitchcock’s last silent and first talkie will be screened with original music by Syracuse native Erin O’Hara, an award-winning singer/songwriter/film & video composer. The premiere takes place at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Palace Theater, 2384 James St., in Eastwood.

Audience members will be admitted with a Society for New Music season ticket purchased via paypal on the Society’s website, or may purchase one from the Film Festival at the door. An ensemble of Society All-Stars make up the ensemble conducted by Travis Newton, all timed to the film. There will be a Q/A with Ms. O’Hara following the performance.

This new music with silent film program is an annual collaboration between the Syracuse International Film Festival, LeMoyne College and the Society for New Music. This is the second program of the Society’s 45th season of concerts in Syracuse.
