Myers: The candidate to get the job done
In a growing sign of support and momentum for Kim Myers, New York Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand announced their endorsement today of Kim Myers, candidate for Congress in New York’s 22nd district.
“Kim’s commitment to her community has been clear in her years of service on her local school board, on the county legislature, and as a volunteer working on important causes in upstate New York. She’s someone who shows up to get the job done and we need more people like that in Congress. I am pleased to offer my strong endorsement to her campaign,” said Schumer.
Gillibrand added, “Kim understands the opportunities that we have for growth in the region, from protecting and supporting our farmers to advocating for small business. She is the right choice for voters who want someone who knows how to work across the aisle and solve problems for her constituents. I am proud to endorse her campaign.”
“I am honored to have the support of New York’s two great Senators and I thank Senator Schumer and Senator Gillibrand for their support. I look forward to partnering with them in Congress to deliver on the issues that affect Central New York: creating good-paying jobs, protecting our agriculture, and preserving Social Security and Medicare,” said Myers.
The 22nd Congressional district encompasses a large part of central New York, including the major population centers of Utica and Binghamton.
