kotary-dillonState Police in Sylvan Beach arrested 21-year-old, Dillon M. Kotary, of 8 Oswego St., Camden, for the following:

  • Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer third degree, a class “A” misdemeanor
  • Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle third degree, an unclassified misdemeanor
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, a class “A” misdemeanor
  • Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation

On Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Troopers observed a 2005 Dodge Stratus traveling northbound on State Route 13 in the Town of Vienna going 85 mph in a 55 mph zone. When Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to stop and continued to evade patrol. The vehicle eventually stopped in the driveway of 8 Oswego St., Camden.

The male operator then fled from the vehicle on foot and his 16-year-old passenger remained in the car.  The passenger positively identified the operator and stated Kotary didn’t want to stop due to having a suspended license and currently being on probation in Oneida County.

The driver, identified as Dillon M. Kotary was subsequently arrested in the backyard of his residence without further incident. He was arraigned in the Village of Camden Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $500 cash/$5,000 bond. Kotary is scheduled to appear back in court Nov. 9, 2016, at 6 p.m.
