upl_trunkortreatlogopromoLibrary offers safe alternative to traditional trick or treating, along with activities, contests, music and magic

The Utica Public Library will be hosting Trunk or Treat again this year Saturday, Oct. 29, from 2 to 5 p.m.

The family event offers a safe alternative to traditional trick or treating with local nonprofit organizations providing treats from decorated vehicles in the Library’s parking lot. In addition to trunk or treating, there will be crafts and activities, DJ Silenze will spin fun spooky tunes, and local magician Tasha Van Doren will perform.

Themed costume contests open to youth up to age 18 will run each half hour starting at 2:15 – Group (2:15), TV/Movie (2:45), Funniest (3:15), Spookiest (3:45), Most Original (4:15), and Best Home Made (4:45).

The Youth Services Department at Utica Public Library offers many programs and services.
