Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney and EMILY’s List Executive Director Jessica O’Connell joined “Women For Kim” in support of Congressional candidate Kim Myers Sunday in Vestal, rallying volunteers as they took to the phones to get out the vote in New York’s 22nd Congressional District.
Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, a trailblazer and leading advocate for women and families, praised Myers, “She’s an outstanding candidate. We need her voice and experience as a mother, small business owner, school board member, and county legislator in Congress. Someone with her heart and mind can really make a difference.”
EMILY’s List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, has strongly supported Myers since endorsing her in August.
“There could not be more at stake for women this election. We need more leaders in Congress like Kim who will put New York women and families first,” said Jessica O’Connell, Executive Director of EMILY’s List.
“Kim will fight for equal pay for equal work, protect women’s access to healthcare, and support legislation that will require universal background checks for gun purchasers to ensure that violent felons, domestic abusers, and terrorists cannot buy guns. That’s why EMILY’s List is so proud to stand with Kim Meyers and to help get New York voters out Nov. 8th.”
