Celebrate “America Recycles” Day on Tuesday, Nov. 15th at the Canastota Public Library with your No. 6 Styrofoam. This year, the Canastota Public Library is joining forces with the Madison County Department of Solid Waste to recycle Styrofoam.
Bring your Styrofoam to the library to recycle. Styrofoam must be clean and white. The library can only accept Number 6 Styrofoam. This will include packing material, white egg cartons, clean take-out cartons, clean cups and clean white meat trays.
We can not accept packing peanuts or soiled or food contaminated Styrofoam containers.
Your Styrofoam will be accepted from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the library. If you have any questions, please contact the Canastota Public Library at 315.697.7030.
