“The news of seven million gallons of raw sewage dumped into the Onondaga Lake is deeply discerning. Our decaying infrastructure is a threat to public health and harms our environment,” Assemblyman Al Stirpe said. “This year, we took steps towards addressing our region’s infrastructure crisis. The state budget included $200 million in funding to put people back to work fixing our region’s water and sewer infrastructure, while helping municipalities keep taxes down. Hopefully, this and other investments can help prevent future spills.”
