The Cazenovia Public Library will offer a free public screening of Kubo and the Two Strings (2016) Friday, Nov. 25, at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., in the Community Room. Travis Knight’s 3D stop-action film features the voices of Art Parkinson, Charlize Theron, Matthew McConaughey, Ralph Fiennes, Rooney Mara, and George Takei.
The fantasy-action-adventure film centers on Kubo, a one-eyed boy who lives with his mother in a small shoreside village in Japan. His quiet existence is shattered when a vengeful spirit from the past reignites an age-old vendetta. To survive, Kubo must team up with Monkey and Beetle to locate a magical suit of armor worn by his late father, a legendary Samurai warrior. With the help of his shamisen—a magical musical instrument—Kubo battles the Sisters, Raiden the Moon King and his army of evil spirits.
Kubo and the Two Strings is rated PG and runs 101 minutes.
Free popcorn will be provided.
