Utica Zoo’s education department has Zoo Camps designed for kids of all ages. The zoo environment and animal themed fun make these camps a great addition to any child’s day.

Wild Winter: Pre-kindergarten to first grade
Have you ever wondered how animals survive through the winter? Or how our zookeepers take care of the zoo animals through the seasons? Join us as we learn about the different ways animals stay warm and get their food in winter.

Survival of the Fittest: Second to fifth grades
Some animals are fast and some animals are slow and steady, but every animal has a special way of surviving in their habitat. Learn about the different adaptations animals have and how they use them to be the most fit.

All About Birds: Pre-kindergarten to first grade
Eggs, Feathers, Beaks, and Talons; learn what makes birds such you unique creatures.

Critter Keeper: Second to fifth grade
Have you ever wondered if a snake or a hedgehog would make a good pet? Learn all about how we care for our critters here at the zoo and what it takes to be a responsible pet owner.
