On April 17, 2017, uniformed and investigative members of the Oneida Police Department assisted New York State Parole as they did a search of parolee Oscar Davis’ room at the Super 8 Motel.

During the search, approximately 76.1 grams of crack cocaine (approximate street value of $7,600), 501.8 grams of marijuana (approximate street value of $4,000) and more than $2,000 cash were seized.

Davis was charged with a violation of parole and sent to the Madison County Jail.

Stemming from that search, Davis was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant issued from Oneida City Court April 19, 2017, charging him with the following offenses:

  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree (B felony).
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree (C felony).
  • Criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree (D felony).
  • Criminal use of drug paraphernalia (A misdemeanor).
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree (A misdemeanor).
  • Unlawful possession of marijuana (violation).

Davis was arraigned in Oneida City Court and was remanded to the Madison County Public Safety Building Jail without bail.

In addition to the NYS parole, the OPD was assisted by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office K-9 units.
