The Cazenovia Public Library will present two privacy protection workshops in celebration of the American Library Association’s (ALA) Choose Privacy Week. The programs will be held on Monday, May 1st at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm in the Community Room.
Choose Privacy Week is an annual ALA event that promotes the importance of individual privacy rights. Libraries across the country participate by hosting events and activities to raise awareness and engage library users on privacy issues. For more information, visit https://chooseprivacyweek.org.
The Library’s May 1st workshops—featuring an informational ALA video and group discussion—will help online users to adopt practices that counter surveillance and minimize unwanted data collection.
All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 315-655-9322 or visit www.cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
