The Oneida County Association of Towns will have their next meeting Monday, May 22, at Club Monarch, 16 Erie St., Yorkville. Cash bar is at 5:30 p.m. Dinner meeting starts at 6 p.m., with the following presentations to immediately follow: Barry Sinnott, Vice President at Bank of Utica will speak on municipal loans, general banking issues for local government, and touch on the economy. Joe Marino, councilman for the Fourth Ward in the City of Utica will speak about the Greater Mohawk Valley Land Bank and how it could potentially benefit towns in Oneida County.

“Given the various financial components in government operations and how it involves banking, some OCAOT members thought having a local bank representative speak on it would be a good topic for local leaders to find out more information about,” said Fritz Scherz, OCAOT President. “Additionally, with the GMVLB recently receiving funding to help fight zombie properties, I thought it would be good to have someone involved with the GMVLB speak on its implications and how we could potentially benefit from it. I want to thank Barry and Joe in advance for agreeing to speak to the OCAOT on their respective topics. I hope to see many of my colleagues from local government in Oneida County at this meeting and encourage those interested
