On Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, Wade J. Midlar, 51, of 554 County Route 85, Granby, was arrested by the New York State Police Major Crimes Unit for a single count of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, a class D felony.
Midlar is charged with uploading a video depicting child pornography via the internet. He was arraigned by Judge Schmidt in Granby Town Court and remanded to the Oswego County Public Safety Center $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
This arrest was the result of a joint investigation conducted by the Mid-State Child Exploitation Task Force. The Mid-State Child Exploitation Task Force is a Federal task force committed to investigating the sexual exploitation of children. The task force consists of FBI and State Police members.
